Thanks to the MMS gun incident and the CHS fights, I would guess that for two weeks, anything the administration had planned to do was completely disrupted. I am inclined to cut them some slack.
Plus, back in the day, we didn't get any orientation. We just showed up at the high school when it was time to start 10th grade.

That would have been weird in a town with junior high schools and a senior high school.

Best of both worlds: 5-8 middle school until the district switched it to a 7-9 junior high starting when we were in ninth grade. So -- sultans of the halls and lunchroom for a second straight year.
