So today my neighbor's lawn service was collecting leaves with a noisy large gas powered lawn mower. That's OK, right?

It conforms with town ordinances.

Legal? Yes.
Okay? That's debatable.
Yesterday, I watched a landscaper mow my neighbor's lawn with a large riding mower. Their lawn didn't need mowing and now there are tire tracks all over the lawn since the ground was soaking wet.

Mr Grumble… it’s the two stroke engine that affects their hearing aids… snowblowers are four stroke…
The township may look to ban gas snowblowers, too, if it starts snowing every week.
Although snow does tend to keep down the particulate matter that the ordinance mentions as one of its reasons for being.

There should be no distinction between 2 and 4 stroke engines they should all be banned, not just one particular piece of yard equipment. Clean burning 4 stroke leaf blowers are suffering the same fate as their 2 stroke brethren by simply being a gas blower.
