The Fight for Kherson

Also, dumb to ban "Z" in Germany.   Let's see how much support the Germans have for banning 'Z' when they are freezing this winter, thanks to the EU.

Well, I mean banning a letter is dumb, which is why context is important. Nazi Germany took a lot of previously innocuous symbols and changed their context. Take for example the triskele, which you’ll find all over ancient Celtic burial sites, and on artifacts, is now a white supremacist hate symbol.

https://www.adl.org/resources/hate-symbol/triskele

And Germany knows a few things about banning symbols. So I imagine no one is getting fined for including the z in spaetzle, and that your team of Alexes are little more than performative muckrakers in the same vein as the blowhards on Newsmax and OAN who like to call Hillary Clinton “Shrillary” and MSNBC “MSLSD” and democrats “Demon Rats” because they think it’s the height of sophisticated political humor. But in reality, they’re just boors.

Have you even spent five minutes watching the Duran?  Probably not.  Anyway, they have a much better track record for truth about the Ukraine war than mainstream media.  One of them spends a miniscule amount of time on nicknames and the majority on serious analysis of the news.  Parody does not make someone inherently lame.

I don't watch Newsmax or OAN so I can't judge the comparison, but I'm guessing it's unfair.

"Boring" is among the most subjective of terms.

Well so? Is it still on?

It's hard to say - Zelenasky never had to defend a country from Russia before.  Putin on the other hand has been around the block with this stuff - as you and friends always seem to gloat about his operation.  And that there was NO other option.

Zelensky is trying to save his country - Putin is trying to take his country and reunite it with Mother Russia.

Pick a side already.  I know you just want Vlad to have it - and the war will be over.

Zelensky has lost and is now trying to save Zelensky.  I feel for him because it looks like his handlers are going to throw him under the bus.  He called Xi Jinping to ask for help.

When Amnesty International, mouthpiece of the West, turns on you, you are in big trouble.

Zelensky is in dire straits financially and the troops are quitting.

https://sonar21.com/new-batches-of-ukrainian-troops-quitting-the-fight-as-russia-grinds-on/

NEW BATCHES OF UKRAINIAN TROOPS QUITTING THE FIGHT AS RUSSIA GRINDS ON

Ukraine’s President Zelensky is spooked and having a tough time hiding it. In remarks made on August 3rd, Zelensky is complaining that Europe is dragging its feet in supplying financial support to keep Ukraine afloat:

Zelensky then made a startling admission about who is winning the war in Ukraine:

“We still cannot break the advantage of the Russian army in artillery and in manpower, and this is very felt in the battles, especially in the Donbass – Peski, Avdiivka, and other directions. It’s just hell. It can’t even be described in words.”

https://t.me/asbmil/3603

When you consider the fact that Ukraine’s armed forces outnumbered the Russians who invaded by a factor of 3 to 1, then you have to ask–exactly what “advantage” does the outnumbered Russian army enjoy? The answer is simple–Russia has air supremacy, superior intelligence and electronic warfare capabilities. It is targeting Ukrainian forward command centers and destroying senior brigade and regimental commanders. This strategy decapitates the chain of command on the frontlines and subjects the troops crouching in trenches and bunkers to seemingly unrelenting barrages of missiles and artillery shells. The result is simple–it demoralizes the troops.

Evidence of this is emerging on social media. First up, the 56th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine declaring it will no longer fight because there is no supply and they are being sent to certain death.

As you know, Amnesty International says that "Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is an act of aggression and a crime under international law. Russia is seeking to depose Ukraine's lawfully elected government."

Amnesty International hasn't "turned" on Zelensky or on Ukraine. The Duran guys are liars.

Amnesty International is a mouthpiece for Western power.  They usually condemn whomever the US/NATO does not like so they can say, "Look we are right!  Amnesty International said so!"  So, no surprise they call out Russia.  That's totally expected.

For them to say anything bad about Zelensky is a big deal.  The Ukrainians have been using civilians as human shields from the get go and they have not said a peep until now.  This is what the Duran noticed and felt was significant.  It's a sign along with what's his name, (Jake Sullivan?) saying Zelensky might get wacked by the Russians and other negative mainstream news reporting.  You have to read the tea leaves if you want to know what is really going on.

If they want to throw Zelsnsky under the bus they have to first make him look bad to people like you who support him and think he's a modern day Churchill.  So, letting you know that his army used civilians like human shields might diminish your admiration.  At least it is supposed to.  They will probably be calling him out as a bad manager also.

That's what the Duran is saying about how the Ukriane off-ramp is going to go.  It's just theirs and some other's theories about what is going on and you are perfectly justified in saying they are blowing smoke up their a***s.

I don't know what is going on at this point, but I don't think even the US can justify spending the 10 billion monthly or so Zelensky is demanding to keep this thing going when he is losing so bad main stream media notice and reports. And then we have the Taiwan thing heating up so that's going to be more money to waste. . .

So, they might be right.

Please stop posting theduran propaganda- you fawn over these pawns of Russia and don’t realize it.

Please post any criticisms they’ve had over Russia invading Ukraine.  Remember when they said Russia would never invade ?

Why do you think it is propaganda? They have been getting the progression of the war correctly, which you have not.

We’ll according to theduran this will all be over in 3-4 weeks.  A sentiment they’ve said several times since they predicted Russia wouldn’t invade.

Getting the “progression of the war” does not take a rocket scientist.

These guys feed off of the same anti-us anti- msm as the Dore audience.

I've noticed that Mr. Surovell doesn't even rely on the Duran guys.

So?  There are lots of places to get news outside of the mainstream.  There is demand because a lot of people are not trusting the mainstream media anymore--as they should.   I don't rely on the Duran guys either.  As I always say, I get my news from varied sources and I'm always skeptical.   I have found over time, that they are reliable though and I like them.   They do a good job covering what is going on and I respect the way they analyse geopolitical events. They have different styles and they also have conversations and answer questions. In addition to what's going on in Ukraine and Taiwan, they have also been covering the situation in Serbia, which I don't see too much news about.

If it does not take a rocket scientist to get the progression of the war then how come so many people thought the Ukrainians were winning?  People who only listened only to mainstream news sources were very misinformed about what was going on.

OK, the big news in non-mainstream media war news is an alleged leaked document coming from UKRAINE sources.

https://www.moonofalabama.org/

EXCERPT:

There is an report on Ukraine making the rounds that was allegedly written by the higher command of the Ukrainian army and leaked from somewhere.

Dr.Snekotron @snekotron - 12:50 UTC · Aug 5, 2022

Ukrainian channels are discussing what might be a leaked data from AFU General Staff:

- The AFU are only at 43-48% strength
- medical workers at their limit
- small arms and armor are not enough
- 191 thousand soldiers were killed and wounded (only AFU, not including others)
- there is not enough hydraulics and liquid nitrogen for M777 howitzers
- no one cares about the missing - there are no statistics
- the equipment transferred by the West is running out
- western weapons are operated by amateurs, since there are no qualified specialists
- no way to repair weapons on the spot due to the lack of spares and specialists - everything is sent to Poland

BTW, even with this dire report, I would caution against predicting a decisive break in morale. As with Peski, the walking wounded are sent straight back into the trenches

There are some pictures of documents written in cyrillic script attached to the above tweet.

The documents look legit. The overall numbers and issues mentioned seem plausible to me. The high number of casualties (plus the missing) is not astonishing. It would be astonished though if the Russian army and its allies have more than one tenth of those. This is mostly an artillery war and the Russian side has had a vast superiority in guns and missiles.

no duh.

And?

Russia will win - happy now?

The question has always been - how much land does Vlad want?  Where are the new land lines going to be drawn.  Something I've been asking since day 1.  Vlad will never concede a line until there's a reason to stop.  We've seen that casualties don't matter one iota to him.  Deaths are a state secret - he's in charge of the media narrative at home and any resistance will be quashed.

It was always Dombas - I always said Vlad wanted much more.

And also - is the current level of denazification acceptable?  What was it at the start - what is it now?

This was not what I wanted.  It was what you wanted.  Are you happy now?

191,000 dead soldiers in the AFU alone….

And you gullible poor soul swallowed this… hook, line and sinker.

huh?  My preference was for no invasion.  I have no idea what you mean.  You think I wanted Ukraine to be flattened and decimated by Putin?

For someone who hates regime change - you're certainly embracing Putin's current quest.  Lavrov actually said it out loud.

I wanted peace negotiations preferably before the invasion.  The West wanted to fight to the last Ukrainian and you supported that. They are down to conscripting 70 year olds so we only have a few to go and your mission will be accomplished.

so “the west” was supposed to avoid this even though you don’t agree with “the west” meddling in anything- pick a lane.  Lately Putin has admitted his hope was to disrupt the west in this operation.

“The last Ukrainian” line is seriously getting old.

I guarantee you- vlad would have never been happy with any negotiations- there would always have been a issue with them.  Decimating a country with zero repercussions appears to be his preferred method.

There you go again. Lying and lying and lying.

Also, you're like Trump now. You can't even cite the actual conscription age, you have to exaggerate it. More lies.

Russia wanted negotiations for the previous eight years.  They wanted the Minsk agreements to work.  The West would not let negotiations happen.   They have blood on their hands for this and they want to do the same in Taiwan.

The last Ukranian is going to be reached soon. They are conscripting 70 year olds.

Here's my insight.  I read primary source info and don’t listen to commentary and Russia invaded a sovereign nation and they’re killing civilians and armed forces backed by nothing and I’m against that. That’s my insight. I’m not here to justify some country’s horseshit illicit invasion.
