The Confessional: Post your judgment-free confessions here

Gabby, I am so sorry. That just sucks. May find someone as mean as he is. ml

Sometimes after my kids go to school, I go back to sleep. I don't watch too much trashy TV, but I do read trashy historical novels, which are pretty much "porn for girls"

Sometimes I eat those nasty ramen noodles.

Used to love those novels. Maybe I can start reading them again now that I have nook/kindle on my iPad... grin

Yes, far less embarrassing than taking them on the train

aes and boomie: me too! Titanic is absolutely unwatchable. I think that's when I started hating Celine Dione.

There is nothing embarrassing about hating Celine dion. It would far more confession worthy to admit to enjoying her voice. My cat makes a similar sound when he's about to vomit.

I genuinely enjoy pop dance music -- the more top 40 the better. Not just in the car or at the gym, but also while working on spreadsheets at work, which I consider my personal FYF FloRida time.

Antiques Roadshow and Chardonnay sounds rather high brow to me! My confession is that although I like Antiques Roadshow, I only watch it when there's nothing else on...

You all know that Nicholas Dawes, who's the porcelain and majolica expert on Antiques Roadshow, lives in Millburn, right? I see him at Shop Rite now and then.

I dislike (hate) my abusive husband. Sometimes I wish he would find someone else and leave for good!

@Gabby: I was in an abusive relationship for seven years. I urge you to find a therapist or someone strong who will help you that you can trust. The therapist I went to see then was the one who gave me the strength to get out. She said something to me that stuck with always. She said, "You keep expecting rational reactions from irrational people."

Amie, I too say I'm from NY rather than NJ (I was born in the Bronx so I feel that's justified, no?
I read Life and Style and In Touch religiously (LilMiss is on the mastheads so that doesn't count , right?)
And I'd KILL before I would miss Dancing With The Stars..I am so bad!

LL, I'm also from NY originally (Dutchess County about 90 miles upstate). But when people asked where we moved from, it's easier to say "NY" rather than "a suburb of NY that was in Northern NJ, a really charming smallish town that had no one named Snooki in it, even though our work was in NYC."

Sometimes I'd like to pack a bag for my teenager and shove her on the first plane to somewhere far away...

My parents sent me to boarding school for that exact same reason.

Buying this game when it comes out

I regularly ask my 4, 6 and 8yos what they would like in their boxes for when I ship them back to New Jersey.

I'm watching "My Cat From Hell" on Animal Planet a Saturday night....

I'm watching Friends.

I'm watching a lifetime movie.

I feel like I'm in a different kind of "Biggest Loser" contest... LOL! grin)

1. I do not have the animal lover gene. I like them for a brief visit, but we're it not for my children I do not think I'd ever want a pet. I like little dogs but really have no desire to ever want to take care of one, other than to help out a friend.

2. I designed my bathroom with a full length mirror and an extension mirror (against an opposite wall) that I can look in and see how I look from behind. No joke. With three daughters, those mirrors will see a lot of use. Who doesn't want to make sure their butt looks good before leaving the house?

NO WORRIES, BUFFY

3. I think I lack a compassion gene (see no. 1) but I try to be courteous and not the true self centered beeyotch I know I can be. It feels nice to be nice.

Mr. Shh and I are watching some crazy ultimate fighting. @bigriver, see what you've done to me????

I'm watching "Warrior." Wow!

And there's no question I'm a loser!

Haha!

Rather than pass along to my kids all the money I inherited from my parents, I'm blowing almost all of it on renovating my house.

When my kids were young and wanted to go to the park but I didn't, I'd tell them it was closed.

I cut the tags off my mattresses and seat cushions.

Every Friday night on Spike TV, we were watching at Bunny's a few weeks ago.

I know every one of my facebook friends, except for the molers, most of whom I've never met. I regularly consider deleting the "strangers" but never follow through.

As a follow up, I feel like a whacko for enjoying and looking forward to the status updates of "strangers".

Someone please tell me I'm not the only one.

I also shop at goodwill. When people ask where I bought stuff (and that includes my kids) I tell them the original store on the label instead of goodwill.

Well, now I must confess, I think that's something to be proud of!!! oh oh

I am watching My Fair Lady, again...
