I got cornily after corny. Last word was cryonic, which I though was a toughie.

Atlas and gavial ARE words! But not to spelling bee! ETA: that should be atlatl NOT ‘atlas’ - had not noticed that spellcheck changed it.

Atlas? AFAIK, there has never been a spelling bee with an "S." But, along those veins, glial is a word as well.
Today's solution has the 3rd most words in the entire history of SB. I'm at Genius and still 19 words short of QB. I don't have it in me to get to 76 words today.

Sorry - didn’t notice spellcheck had changed it. Was supposed to be atlatl.
Quickly got to -2 today. Given today's letters I suspect if I get one I'll get both of the last words.
quite a relief after yesterday! otoh, now no excuse not to get on with chores.
