Yes, the book group is open to everyone. Looks like the 25th of October will be fine. Thank you for hosting and no worries, ridski!

So, once again, all are welcome to mine on Friday October 25th at 8pm. PM me for address and parking options. We'll be discussing "The Windup Girl" by Paolo Bacigalupi (which of course I haven't finished yet) and based on out last meeting, many more nerdly topics, I'm sure. I'll have some snacks and adult and young-adult beverages, but feel free to bring anything you like specifically.

I believe we have cheese, crackers, chips and dips, some chocolates and a selection of wines and beers covered. Anything else you'd like, feel free. If it's just the mix, I believe we have some Russian vodka (possibly from your old cellar?) to fill it out, but we're out of gin, as usual.

If anyone wishes to bring "Na" be my guest. Just please don't say that word in front of me, I've been listening to the audiobook, and it's driving me bonkers.

If I had time, however, I would try to concoct a cocktail called the "Rampaging Megadont", but alas, I do not.

Btw Doctor Tickets go on sale tomorrow for the Theatrical Simul-Broadcast of the 50th on November 23rd.

Thank you for hosting us at your home. I liked that the book generated a lively discussion. Best ones are when the readers have strong dissenting views. Again anyone is welcome to join. Next meeting will be in December. "Among Others" by J. Watson. First fantasy book, fun read.

I am thinking of adding Ready Player One, Redshirts and Boneshaker to the reading list. All are welcome to join in. The list has on it Among Others (Dec.), Seven Views of Olduvai Gorge (Jan.) and Surface Detail (Feb.) I am short on Fantasy books. Any suggestions, modern ones?

I remember them a bit. Soldier culture in the future.
