Because with Trump everything has to be a circus, a tacky show. Mr. Only I Can Fix It. Our great savior, hero, etc. His base eats it up, like Opioids.
Just as, we were told, his meeting with Kim saved us from nuclear Armageddon.

From NYT:
Mr. Trump’s executive order would seek to get around an existing 1997 consent decree, known as the Flores settlement, that prohibits the federal government from keeping children in immigration detention — even if they are with their parents — for more than 20 days.

Apologies if I missed your post opposing Trump's "infest" language and child separation initiative. So far, you've only posted your support of him while attacking our opposition to him.
Still an interesting turn of events. Trump backed down on this one. And fairly quickly. We'll have to see what the short term looks like of course. And Trump is getting ready to start an 8 day tour of holding rallies for the deplorables, so we're likely to see lots of unhinged rhetoric on this issue.

That would be me, and as your man appears to be influenced by the outcry, never underestimate the power of clowns.
Trump: I'm gonna set this dumpster full of cats on fire.
Libs: What?
Trump: (Sets dumpster full of cats on fire) Looks, the Dems set a dumpster full of cats on fire!
Libs: What? Now we didn't-
Cons: Womp womp! Look at all those burning cats! If only you could save them libs!
Libs: (Crying) But the cats! Do something!
Cons: Sorry, we're too busy taking our nice non-burning cats to the cat picnic.
Libs: The cats are on fire!
Cons: Ha ha! If they didn't want to be burned, they should stay out of the dumpster.
Libs: That's it, I'm signing a Facebook petition.
Trump: Ta-da!!! I had a fire extinguisher behind my back all along! (Puts out fire.) Aren't I amazing? You know, I can't believe you Libs just sat there and watched those cats burn! I put the fire, because I'm the best at everything.
Libs: Thanks, I think.
Cons: Yay! Cat picnic!
Trump: Screw you, I canceled the cat picnic. You'll have to take your cats someplace else.
Cons: Oh, okay. But we...
Trump: Off to yell random crazy **** to my fans in the mid-west, bye!
Cons: ... still love you, Trump.

I don’t care why he did it, just thanking god that he did and no more children will be put through this hell.
And, hey Trump- I will never forget what you’ve done no matter what you do from here forward to make it “right”. Monster

Yeah, except that kids as young as eight months are being flown around the country without their parents. What if the forget who their parents are?? Monster? Absolutely! Think of all the lost children for generations to come!

frankly this sound only marginally better. I don't think anyone should be celebrating this.
It's almost 5pm and I don't think any order has been issued yet. I don't think they themselves have this sorted out yet. How unusual.

How much do you all cry for the children that are separated from their parents when the have to do a tour of duty to keep our country safe.....let me guess....none of you....don't even say but they still have another parent to watch them
The parents who join the Service join with full awareness that they will be separated from their children if they are deployed. I’m sure it’s hard but it’s not abuse.

Up here on RI’s East Bay: we have the Big Blue Bug, a Rt. 95 landmark giant bug on top of a bldg. Traffic reports routinely orient drivers by citing the bug. Any immigrant trying to infest Little Rhody is in for a fight.

I wonder if they kept track of which children belong to which parent and where they all are. Something tells me they didn't.

I wouldn’t be surprised to learn they chipped them. The end is near.

Here:
He said that lawyers for Catholic Charities have handled 18 cases of separated children who have asked judges for “voluntary departure,” or to be sent back, and another 15 were considering that option. Some have already left, he said.
But sending children back to countries like Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador can be difficult because often the government does not know whether the parent is still in the United States or has already been deported.
“There is no system whatsoever to track these family separations, no efforts systematically to reunite these families,” Mr. Enriquez said. “There is no supervisor, there is no database saying, ‘child here, parent there,’ so they can come back together.”

Which just goes to show you exactly how much the Feds actually give a crap about these poor people. Utterly despicable.

Don't you think that's kind of offensive? He is a Math teacher at CHS.

A teacher? Really? I always get a kick out of Trump supporters who are also union members. Perhaps they don't see how workers' rights are being dismantled under the Trump Administration.

If he's a teacher I pray for his students.
If that guy is a teacher I am really glad my kid is no longer in the school system. Not because of his politics - but because of his incoherent arguments. Somebody with critical thinking skills that poor has no business teaching.

He's just trolling.
One thing Trump does is to take a legitimate concern (border security, North Korea, trade imbalances) and wrap it in fear and white victimhood to the point where it becomes nothing but drama and hysteria and nothing good comes out of it.
It would be nice to have an adult conversation about border security, for example, including a discussion of how to address the factors that make people desperate enough to leave their homes with nothing to attempt a dangerous and uncertain trip north to try to enter the United States.
I read in a BBC article backgrounder on the weekender that the children are deemed 'abandoned' or parentless, therefore the govt is forced to make new arrangements for them without their siblings through fostering agencies. Note: not 'find your family' agencies, because most are barely speaking and don't have papers; fostering/ adoption. Probably to another country, I guess.
Promote your business here - Businesses get highlighted throughout the site and you can add a deal.
I don't know. Its a good reminder of the stupidity abounding in our country. Also, comedic in a sad way.
