Favorite Maplewoodstock Moment?

Fave moment: standing backstage and seeing what the Wailers were seeing. I'm sure they probably do their "One love... no divisions" schpiel wherever they play. But here, with all the different kinds of faces looking back at them, those bits about togetherness must have seemed really right. At least they did to me.

Also, the hula hoop gals.

Alejandro's set, and All The Young Dudes encore in particular. He's one of my favorite musicians and I still can't believe he was at lil' ole Maplewoodstock. Thank you thank you thank you to the organizers, the whole weekend is fantastic every year!

I couldn't agree more! Alejandro Escovedo was fabulous and All the Young Dudes was a memorable end to his set. How did we ever get him??? So great!! Thanks to the organizers!

Alejandro did do a show at SOPAC last year wit Shelby Lynne.

The beef stew at Lalabela stand.

Getting off the train from work just in time to hear Alejandro Escovedo (whom I would happily pay to see), and running into friends and neighbors I have met one way or the other over the last 21 years.

@formerlyjerseyjack good point- food is a key part of this festival. Enjoyed Freeman's lobster rolls and all the options at Falafely Yours.

I liked the Wailers and Alejandro Escovedo and the falafel sandwich from Falafely Yours and the tame white parrot that was making the rounds and the Hunter S. Thompson vibe under the orange draped tree and my appreciated (and used) shady spot on the hill.

Wanted to add another pic I got of the awesome hula hooping at night. My kids and nephews especially loved it.

I bought a hot sausage and peppers sandwich from one of the food vendors Saturday afternoon, don't recall which one. I hadn't had a hot sausage and peppers sandwich in a long time. I used to always have one at San Gennaro and at the Hoboken street fair.

I grumbled that it was $9 but when I got back to the booth to eat it, it was soooo good. So worth the $9. The bread was good crusty Italian bread. The onions and red and green peppers were caramelized and almost sweet to the taste and marinating in the juice from the delicious pork sausage. The only downside was it was hotter then hell and in my haste, nay in my passion, to consume this guilty pleasure I charred multiple cellular layers of flesh off the top of my mouth. It's only now healing, five days later. But oh what divine misery.

A buddy shared this with me today. We're going to see Hansard in December ...

I will be starting a petition tomorrow for Glen Hansard to play MWS!
