Don't Miss This Year's Turnover Sale!

How many more weeks is the sale? I'm new to this - but I went last week and it was very crowded! The volunteers were helpful though

If you look at the very first post in this thread you will see a flyer which lists all of the dates.

I went last night - great stuff - but it was about 110° in there.

Every year I hope that our net volume of donations will exceed our net volume of purchases, leaving us more space in our house then when we began.
This may be the year! (Fingers crossed)

Where would I drop off donations later this afternoon or early evening? Will someone be there

Yes, too hot, this year and almost every year, great stuff, but I don't go anymore because it is always stiffiling in there!

I so wish this wonderful eventwould be held in a cooler month.

I just don't think that would be possible. It's such a busy and active church that only *slightly* slows down in the summer. That includes the preschool which uses a lot of the sale spaces and is in session during the school year.

What Tarheels said....the church is in constant use during the rest of the year for it's own activities as well as community outreach etc. IF you think you, as the consumer, is hot-imagine how the volunteers feel-not only during the sales times but in all the time that is spent pre-sale sorting, displaying -unpacking and even discarding some junk that always gets donated...There are people that work daily during the sale to make sure that all is right on the sales days/evenings! But, it is all good-the money earned is put to very very good use in mission for less fortunate including persons from our own community!
