Pizza variations are a matter of personal taste, not better or best. Around here, nearly all of the pizza is pretty great (or they don't stay in business, given the level of pizza-making here), so you go with the places that make the type of pizza you like. But I think these rankings and competitions are silly.

I concur about the need for a more authoritative source of guidance on this topic; however, since the Oracle Of MOL has retired from handicapping, I suppose that an actual Pizza Derby is the only way to put the issue to rest... Ironically, I'm disqualified from voting unless West Orange pizzerias are admitted as contestants...
