Deb, a friend of mine is using the guy you used to do your bathroom on Franklin and his prices still sound pretty fair.
Russ at 763 (yes, Mn area code) 202-9193. Tell him you got his name from Maplewood On Line. He did some great work at my neighbor's place last Summer.
A couple of years ago we did a complete renovation of an old bathroom – walls, floor and ceiling removed to the studs and beams, plumbing relocated. We used a contractor recommended by a friend who had used him for multiple renovations, for a bath and for a kitchen. We had planned out the room ourselves, but he was helpful in working with suppliers. He was assisted by a great team of specialists (plumber, electrician, tile installer). I've been getting quotes for a small master bath reno -- walk in shower, floor, sink all in the same place -- and the prices are more than twice what they were when I last did a bath. Can anyone recommend a reliable contractor -- we don't need a designer or architect -- who does neat work? We'll provide all the hardware, tile, sink/vanity toilet etc. bath is typical 5x8.
PS would also love to know what others paid!
