BBC Sherlock Holmes Fans

Tried to find and update the prior thread, but couldn't. For all you fans, the U.S. broadcasts start tonight on PBS 9-10:30!

This was so good! I highly highly recommend it.

Yes! Just set the DVR up for this!!

Woo-Hoo!!!!!!!! My DVR has been on this for weeks now, and I am drooling with anticipation.

You are in for a treat - enjoy!

Oh My...that was GOOD!! I need to watch it again.

SO DO I! The last 2 minutes especially!

I watched it months ago, as well as the following two too.

Pretty sure project37 did too.

I thought it was GREAT!

where can I see the "R" rated version? (how can I open the safe without it?)

A pity he isn't a little older....

The writers are amazing...so many good quotes:

“I always hear ‘Punch me in the face’ when you’re speaking, but it’s usually subtext.” grin)

Did anyone else notice the writer? Steven Moffat... as in the same guy who writes SO many Doctor Who episodes. Wow.

Pretty good interview with Steve Moffat on Studio 360 this weekend. I generally don't like Kurt Andersen's style, but usually listen anyway just because the radio's on WNYC all the time.

Yes...his writing partner and the show's co-creator is Mark Gatniss, who plays Mycroft. In fact, Gatniss wrote last night's episode!

I'm looking through my Maplewood Comcast listings for the replay (which it says is on 5/8 at 2am and 9pm ).

It also says it's available On-Demand on TV-14. But, I went through the On-Demand selections, and can't find it. Anyone?

I liked it but I think I may have misunderstood the end. Maybe I'll watch the replay tonight.

I haven't seen this new version, yet. I'm still a huge fan of the Jeremy Brett Holmes.

Oops, my Comcast replay is 9pm *tomorrow* night (5/8). I edited above.

Yes, I also loved Jeremy Brett and was very sad when he died. But this is an entire shake-up of the Holmes tradition, so give it a try. They take the original plots of the most famous Holmes cases and give them updates to take technology into account. Very, very clever use of web searching and texting, for example.

And the writing is brilliant. You recognize Conan Doyle but have to acknowledge some new twists and dialogue that are terrific.

Just watched it.
Oh my....

The first season is a bit tamer than the first episode of the second season. All are really really good.

Oh, I saw the first season.
And no worries... I enjoyed this one. wink

Clearly, the first season was the warm-up period. smile

I'm warm. Give me more. More than another 2 episodes!

Yeah, definitely need more than two more episodes. I wish they thought a "season" meant more than three.

I've been a "House" addict for a number of years. Need another Holmes/Watson scenario! Bones and The Finder are just not the same...
