The Monster Bawl Halloween Dance Party and Costume Competition!

Monster Bawl started at the Woodland before moving to ValleyArts in 2018, Hat City Kitchen in 2020 and SOPAC in 2022. In 2024 the South Orange-Maplewood Adult School brought Monster Bawl back home to the Woodland and you have a chance to be part of this well-known, well-loved Halloween costume dance party! Local band Emotional Rex, will provide all your favorite dance tunes, to elevate your spirits and present The Legendary Emotional Rex Trophy for best costume. Lite snacks, beverages and all the spooky fun you expect are also included!

The Monster Bawl is highly visible on social media and routinely sells out! Longer-term residents know about this dance party from previous years and are already looking forward to purchasing tickets. We will reach newer residents who will be first-time attendees. This celebration is also a fundraiser for The South Orange-Maplewood Adult School

By purchasing a ticket, you’re helping us provide classes, lectures and events dedicated to lifelong learning for all ages. The Adult School is a 501c3 nonprofit organization and does not receive any taxpayer funding. The school relies solely on the revenue from tuition and contributions from our vital community.
