I like the stone effect they painted on the bridges - seems like the walls throughout the S curves should of had the same treatment. But they remain white - was this the plan all along or is this still in the works?
If memory serves, the stone on the bridges is real stone masonry veneer, not painted. I too had hoped they would faux stain/paint the retaining walls, but it doesn't look like that's the plan.
Wow - I could have sworn this one had the same surface as the walls and was painted. I'll have to get a closer look one of the days.
If this was real stone veneer - would you have straight lines going through the rock on a consistent basis?
When they were doing the retaining walls, I thought they were going to end up looking like the ones on the 405 near the Getty Museum in L.A.
Woulda been nice but I looked it up and those were done in shotcrete and then sculpted, whereas these just had a form liner inside standard forms.
Kinda wonder why they bothered, given the whiteness.
Recognizing that it's probably a county road...
Before decorative anything on the s Curves, how about repaving most any street in MAPSO!

I'd rather they replace the 20 broken or missing lights.
No kidding. It seems like every 5th or 6th light has been wiped out. A real eye sore.
I wish you hadn't pointed out the walls. Now it's all I notice. While we're at it why did they make the South Orange Rescue Squad building look so chop block when it's right next to the nice looking fire department building?
