That explains the random traffic cone with a "detour" flag at Third and Valley this morning.
Water was bubbling up from the curb on the south side of SO Ave, within a few steps of Prospect, beginning over 1 month ago.
I wonder if this was related to the above noted water main break mentioned above, and the "emergency" repairs necessitated by said break.
Why the quotes? It is likely they are related, and it finally gave out.

Emergency repair of a water main break will require ongoing closures of South Orange Avenue between Valley and Prospect Streets beginning tonight at 8 p.m. Police will be present to direct traffic and establish detours.
South Orange Ave is closed in both directions between Prospect and the Flag pole as crews are trenching across the roadway.
Eastbound traffic on South Orange Ave is being diverted up Irvington Ave where vehicles can continue up same or turn onto Prospect to make there way back to the Ave to travel east.
Westbound traffic on South Orange Ave is being diverted over Prospect Street where vehicles are turning on Milligan, Second, Third or continuing on Prospect.
