Volunteer Opportunities

NJ STRAYS, a local No-Kill Animal Welfare Organization has great volunteer opportunities for people of 16 and up. We are an all volunteer based organization providing community assistance to pet owners in need. We have virtual and hands on volunteer openings as well as events support. Are you passionate about animals? Join our organization and help us to prevent pet abandonment and unnecessary euthanasia of healthy companion animals.  Contact us with any questions!

What in particular are you looking for?

Why only 16 and up?  We have a very responsible 11 year old who volunteers at the Seaton Hackney stables (2 hours per week, cleaning out stables, raking the yard, feeding and watering the horses etc), who I am sure would love to volunteer.

We are located in 2202 Millburn Ave. We are not a shelter or a rescue, we do not hold animals. We are a community outreach organization helping from outside the shelter structure. You can find more information about us here: https://www.njstrays.org/

We are at our location upon the availability of our volunteers  We are looking for a Pet Food Bank Coordinator, Education Director, Fundraising and Event Support and a Director for our Lost Pet Project. We also have many other opportunities of helping local pets, other opening! We have a volunteer open house next Sunday January 27 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm. Our Volunteer Coordinator will be there to go over details
