Vanilla Sugar

Where might one find vanilla sugar? Need some for a homemade ice cream recipe I’d like to try. Thx!

Can order from Penzeys (or of course Amazon).  If not in a total rush, put a vanilla bean in a jar of sugar and leave it a while.  There are also some unnecessarily complicated methods/recipes online.

Thanks…. Need it for tomorrow. I suppose I can just substitute regular granular sugar and ad some vanilla extract.

Better to use vanilla bean; expensive though. Half the bean and scrap out the innards. Don't throw away the scraped bean. Put it in some sugar or some vodka.

I know I’m late, but don’t your supermarkets’ baking sections have little packets of Dr Oetkers Vanilla Sugar? Or a health foods place?
