Bump - North Jersey Pride Festival is happening right now:
It was a great event. As always it had a very positive vibe, and I think there were significantly more vendors and organizations present this year. It seemed like there were more food offerings at the very least.
Great music and comedy too.
I wish there was some alternative to the use of several small gas-powered generators for the food vendors (for this and all festivals). I understand that the vendors need electricity and I wouldn’t put the onus on them to solve the problem. The town would have to run high capacity electrical service underground to a central point, then maybe string up temporary overhead lines to all the booths. Then maybe charge a little bit more to the vendors depending on the number of hookups they need, like each 15 amp connection for $5 or something nominal like that.
