One of the Twilight Zone episodes was a documentary on this kind of stuff. Is Kristin still alive?

Lol…who knows? Maybe the Shadow knows…

I asked about this on the "other" site and the general consensus was that it's closed for good.

Did it ever really open?  I don't know anyone who ate there.

I asked about it because I was in town on Friday afternoon and it was closed. I went online and their ‘website’ said i could order pick up for Saturday afternoon. I thought it was weird that it wouldn’t be open Friday night. The bigger question was the same as yours, though. Other than the grand opening day, I’ve never seen it actually open. On Wednesday I was thinking ordering takeout form somewhere different (ended up with Chinese from Dragon Garden) but that’s what made me think of Uni.

The guy that went in there is probably still in there….

Looks like I can schedule a pickup for Tuesday.  Their first entrée is misspelled.

I thought the lobster roll  / quick seafood concept could have worked if done properly.  Like a Freeman's takeout location.

IIRC, you weren't a big fan of it.

I said -"if done properly".  I'm a big fan of lobster rolls.  Their meat to bread ratio was way off.  And the roll needed to be butter toasted - which is probably the #1 important factor for a proper lobster roll.

Cousins does a decent job. I wouldn't mind this menu in town!

Looks like a good menu. Definitely a larger variety of options than BK had. I go to AP a lot and never ate there, but I'd be tempted by those tacos and other options.

We have the Lobster Shack two blocks away.  It's a three-star lobster roll (out of four).

Cousins food truck has been the upper level of the TJ's/PetSmart parking lot weekly it seems. They pulled in shortly after 11AM today.

Where - in union?  That's the only TJ/Petsmart I see - but don't see an upper level.

Millburn. There's the Trader Joe's and PetSmart next to each other on Millburn Avenue. I guess it parks on the upper level where I think there might be gym and/or medical center. If you're facing PetSmart there are stairs to the right you can walk up to get to the upper level. Or you can drive there.

Ugh- I was thinking TJ Maxx lol - glad it's in Millburn - will check it out one of these days.

I remember when they were on Shark Tank. Sounds good. According to the schedule they're still in Millburn right now.

Looks like this week, they're there today only:

Also next Monday, 1/23 according to their calendar.

We have a new awning - I think it said "Outer Borough" Deli, salads and soups.

At this point, just put up an awning that says "FOOD" as every time I go past there it's something different.

Also, M-Wood isn't Brooklyn. It isn't New York. That's why people come here. Stop naming crap after it.

That presents me a problem: I should boycott the place -- this ain't "Brooklyn West." But we need a good deli.

Agree. Enough of the comparisons to NYC.

If we had a good deli in Maplewood, I would spend a decent amount of money there.

We've had two pretty good delis in the Village since I've lived here: Crane's and I Can't Remember The Name. They were in the old Ani Ramen spot. Both places closed. I think a lot of us like the idea of a good deli, but money talks and bologna walks.

I think you're referring to the "Maplewood Deli and Grille."
