Wish I could cuz normally I eat half my food from a resto and save the rest for later.  Didn't happen this time (speaks to the taste and quality of the food).  Gratis home-made tater chips came with my RB sammich on incredible bread - all are in my belly.

I am not a big red meat fan, but something about the description of that roast beef sandwich on the posted menu had me order - and devour it - awhile back. The bread is from Balthazar, the onions are ridiculously good and there is a normal amount of contents between the bread. More like you'd put on a sandwich if you were making it for yourself than the inch of cold cuts a deli might do. All in all, incredibly good sandwich, like one you'll still be thinking about weeks later. The coffee was delicious, too. Also, the cafe itself is attractive. Worth a detour, for sure.

We’ve eaten there a number of times with friends and the food is always great. The desserts look too damn good, but I’ve managed to avoid them, so far. One of these days, I just know I’m gonna give in.

I eat there every weekend.  It’s my go to breakfast place.  Nothing else is in the same league.

Regarding the dessert goods, -you must take home a piece of her delicious homemade bread pudding, -it will last you two days of tasty guilt.

Only been there twice in the past 10 days, and going back again.

I am a fan of their quiche

Nj.com published their list of best Taylor Ham sandwiches in the state. Guess who’s number 1?

David and his daughter are great! I’m happy for them. David took that corner and made it interesting.

Awesome - I will try one very soon.  Pretty impressive list - sounds like a great job to have.  Town Hall was #19.

I think you would do great doing something like this. Maybe start with local eateries. Create a list and see how they do. People are always looking to check out restaurants before they go.

Not today though. I’m disappointed … I’ve been thinking about a THEC Sandwich all morning!!

I did end up grabbing a Taylor ham and egg on a bagel from Town Hall. I still want to go try True Salvage.

Laura Nichols (may she rest in peace) always prides herself that the Blue Plate Special always used the name brand Taylor ham. No generic pork roll there. I think it made a difference.

I saw on their Insta that True Salvage will close on April 20th and reopen on April 30th as a completely gluten free restaurant. This might not excite many of you but for your celiac and other GF friends, this is great.

Wish them lots of luck. Most people are not gluten free, including me.  Many regular restaurants have added this to their menu already.  But maybe there is some room for this concept.

Wow. That’s a bold move but understandable if their chef has been diagnosed with celiac disease. For some people just physical contact with gluten causes a reaction.

Great making it an option but doesn’t switching over entirely cut out most of the population?

Admittedly I’m not much of a bread eater in general, but the few times I’ve tried gluten free products they did not impress

Good luck to the place - I’ve always been a fan

How will this impact the taylor ham and egg sandwich?  hmm.  It does look like Balthazar does offer gluten free bread/rolls.

Signe is searching for quality gluten free rolls.  She's found a wrap that she likes, but not a roll yet.

Tried calling this morning, got no answer, so I drove over. Closed today and tomorrow. Should have mentioned that on their website or on their voice message.

I went the other day - great Taylor ham egg and cheese.  I think the roll was very good. It was toasted just right..   the Balthazar roll probably separated them from the pack

That's what I was looking to get! Oh well.
