Things to Celebrate this Week

My calendar informs me that it’s Ridski’s birthday!! If this isn’t an occasion to celebrate, I don’t what is  snake wink  (I keep looking for an emoticon here that’s holding a beer mug, and I’m always disappointed)

I’ll keep numbers away from the discussion, dear friend, and wish you pleasant days, romantic/memorable nights, endless material for your witty & classic pantomimes; good health; stimulating and long-lasting friendships; continued success in all you do... in short, may this be a very good year indeed.

I’m sure everyone joins me in off-key warbling Happy Birthday whenever we see your posts today!

It’s also As Young As You Feel Day.

Kinda fits in nicely with the idea of Ridski’s birthday, doesn’t it? You could sit back this evening and watch the Marilyn Monroe film, nibble on your favourite snack or cuddle up to your favourite person/pet... or help Ridski celebrate his day!! cheese cheese

Then there’s Passover this weekend... who else feels a bit overwhelmed with the cleaning and cooking, more than usually this year?? We’re doing the formalities ultra-low key this year but even so it seems that as soon as I’ve cleaned & tidied, that spot is cluttered again. Sigh.

Oh! It’s the colourful festival of Holi this weekend too! A quick online search returned a few events in the next week or so that could be fun to attend, if you have time and interest. It’s probably worth ringing ahead to book and check attendance requirements.
Wishing you all renewed vitality, health, good fortune and success!

How I missed this thread earlier, I don’t know. Wishing the same to y’all, joanne, and to the birthday guy.

And you’ve got Greek Independence Day too!! (It just finished for us) (I miss Author, but Apollo can drink my metaxa cheese )

I missed this thread, too! Thanks, joanne! I'm Level 50 now! Had a marvelous week, even though it's all been over zoom, but I'm so used to all that now, it really doesn't bother me much.

We are, as I type this, blocking our calendar dates for next year's Panto. The one we were supposed to do this past January. At some point we'll also have to write it!

Cheers!

Happy belated birthday! Looking forward to the next panto. Snailed the last one!
