If the Republicans gain control of congress and the WH expect a Federal law outlawing abortion as murder. Under the supremacy clause that law would supersede state laws.

So let’s talk about taking the oral medication, for a few minutes. -Firstly, this medication is contraindicated for loads of women: if the pregnancy isn’t confirmed; if ou use an IUD; if the pregnancy is ectopic; if you’re on any inhalers (asthmatics etc); if you’ve got any bleeding disorders (which in this case would include the excess bleeding that comes with endo and PCOS); if you’re on salicylate medication (warfarin, aspirin etc) - and, because hubby is talking to me as I type, I’m sure I’ve forgotten some others.
-Secondly, from the consumer info it seems that this mix of hormones will only work on live pregnancies - it’s too early for movement, but if the pregnancy wasn’t viable but hasn’t miscarried (which happens), this won’t help.
-Thirdly, it’s massively painful because the mix of hormones causes the uterus lining, placenta and foetus to tear apart from the mother - the meds interfere with body’s processes to control the contractions and her pain. This is also why so many medical terminations are incomplete and also lead to complications & infections.
There’s more to read but if you’re limiting a surgeon’s ability to help a woman surgically terminate a pregnancy (for all kinds of necessary reasons), then what case can be maintained for modern procedures in which endometrium scrapes are performed for PCOS management, cyst and polyp control, peri- and menopausal management, etc?? Let alone ectopic pregnancies etc? Gossipy, judgemental, uninformed people will decide all sorts of nasty goings-on just for hits on social media.
The nominees for Supreme Court Justice lied under oath that Roe v. Wade was a settled law. They should be impeached for lying under oath. I don’t understand why ordinary people are prosecuted for lying under oath but a supreme court judge who lies under oath continues to be a judge. This is wrong on so many levels. 70% of the country wants this law to remain. This will get people riled up like we haven’t seen since the’60’s.

So now free individual travel, which is an individual right, will be restricted?! And will transit hub personnel identify such early-pregnant women?-Make them walk thru an ultrasound scanner?? WHAT ABOUT THE RIGHT TO PRIVACY???
I get the desire to jump on justices for artfully evading and in some cases dissembling at hearings, but we will want your nominees to have some wiggle room too, on Dobbs, on Shelby, on Citizens United. Let’s try to factor that in to our present norm-setting.

What right to privacy? We have medical record privacy as mandated by HIPAA. But anything else you're on your own.
Also, data brokers often can get your medical information which you think is HIPAA protected.

That was probably the most depressing--although absolutely correct--description of sex and pregnancy, and what I agree with, but not so eloquently. If we are thrust back into state-mandated laws on abortion, can any one state pass a law requiring men to use contraception or be subject to criminal penalty? Haha! Never going to happen. Men are in charge...
