I don't get it. Stein wants Harris to adopt a hard line against Israel or else she will work to defeat Harris? Does she think that Trump will restrain Israel?
No, but she is making inroads in places that Harris normally would win. The Democrats have turned into the party of war. Trump presents a better solution to Ukraine than Harris does also. He probably won't follow through, but at least he understands it has to end. Harris appears weak in foreign policy. I have to wonder if she would have granted permission for Ukraine to use long-range missiles in Russia. That makes me think she might be a disaster waiting to happen.
Anyway, people are sick of these wars and it's a MAJOR issue and the only candidates who are against them are the 3rd party candidates so no surprise they are getting traction.
Don't shoot the messenger.

Stein is focused on the Middle East and is demanding that Harris apply real pressure on Israel to agree to ceasefire deals. There are plausible scenarios in which her stance gives Trump the win. So, in effect, she is saying that Trump is the better option than Harris. If we had a parliamentary democracy where a green party could ally with major parties to achieve political goals, what she is doing would be reasonable enough. However, our system is winner take all.

I don't think she is thinking that way. Harris is part of the party that is in power now. She is going after them because they are responsible. But, you are right that it does give the advantage to Trump--except that people who won't vote for Harris over this issue are not going to vote for Trump instead. So, it's lost votes, not votes changed to Trump votes.

Was it just getting too quiet for you, here?
Right now, Vladimir Putin realizes that Jill Stein is his best chance to get Trump back into the White House. So he issues his orders and she jumps to his tune. Simple as that.
In a tight race, if a voter who would choose Harris over Trump if they did vote IS VOTING for Trump if they don’t vote.

Jill Stein has NOTHING to do with Putin. That is soooooo moronic. She was once at a dinner in Russia where he attended. I don't even think she spoke to him but there is a picture where you can see both of them. The media has gone wild with this and made up all kinds of crap. You just sound like a total ignoramus when you spout this kind of thing.

Still, Comrade Stein has a nice ring to it.

Maybe I am. Maybe I really believe it.
Putin doesn’t give his orders directly. Everyone knows that. It doesn’t matter if they’ve never met. It doesn’t matter if she even knows she marches to his orders. She’s on his list of assets. She got Trump elected in 2016 and she’ll do it again in 2024. She’s a useful idiot like Trump himself.

You do realize, based on our system, and arithmetic, that fewer votes for Harris does mean more chance T wins? Stein fans don't have to actually vote for T to bring about that outcome.

I don't think she cares. She feels the two party system is broken.

Here is what Jill Stein had to say about "spoilers."
Not the "reason" to challenge, but certainly the outcome at this point.
Like our neighbors with the "I Hope You Both Lose" sign - my question for her and them would be: given that one of the 2 main party candidates WILL win this election, do you really not have ANY preference for one of them over the other, or ANY idea that one is worse than the other? If so (can't see how that could be, but maybe you can explain), then do vote 3rd party. If not, please see your way clear to vote for the lesser evil.
Then have a blast organizing for a new party, after the election.

what a time in our history to not care… maybe she’s even more stupid than some of us here…

I dunno Jaytee. Some of us are pretty stupid. Or gullible at the least.
Or maybe malicious? Not clear.

You can call her all the names you want. Not going to change the fact that she is appealing to some groups in a way the Democrats and the Republicans don't. She does not care about your "spoiler" arguments.
She thinks the two party system is broken.
Might want to look at her reasons. Maybe there is something the Democrats are not doing to earn votes?
Is that possible?
I did see your post about spoilers. Doesn't change the effect of voting 3rd party, or not voting, in this election. And "doesn't care" is pretty damning in itself, is it not? Being far-sighted is a great thing, but not when you're about to step in a big deep hole.

Clean hands i guess. Pontius Pilate anyone?
She cares A LOT. Just not in the way you do. She cares about war and genocide. Those are red lines for her. Harris has made it clear ("I want to have the most lethal military in the world") that she will not stop the endless wars. She is running to the right of Trump on that. He's horrible also, but Harris is worse because she does not believe in diplomacy.
I know a lot of you are focused on Trump's domestic policy ideas which are terrible. But, do you realize how close we are to WWIII and nuclear war? It's like the Cuban Missile crisis is back and some of you think the election is about women's right to choose. That's a non-starter if we are all dead or in WWIII. We need negotiations in Ukraine yesterday and to stop sending lethal weapons to Israel. Harris will never do that.
The two party system is not the problem, and anyone who thinks so is a *******. (choose your favorite denigrating word)
Hi Jill Stein!! And supporters! And third party fans!
The problem is money in politics, a constitution that is too rigid and undemocratic, and rampant disinformation. (There are other problems, but those are the biggies that affect our politics. )
And the solution certainly is not to run as a third party that causes the worst candidate to benefit. That, in fact, is the stupidest solution.
And Jill Stein is a grifting sack o' crap who deigns to show her face every four years to do what exactly? Has she actually ever accomplished anything to our benefit?
She is less than useless.

if she "cared" she would do something other than show up to run for Prez every four years. The only thing she cares about is herself.

That's how grownups make decisions on who to vote for.

If she cares about war and genocide - that's great - stop the genocide in Ukraine and stop sending young Russians to the slaughterhouse - at least there's finally something we agree on.
