How are we supposed to keep track of who is running and who is not at this point for the GOP? It seems to go down the path of 19 and counting.... 13 so far... only a few more to go.

I watched his speech this afternoon and I was quite surprised how fired up he was. He has come a long way from the person who I remember giving a very poorly delivered GOP response a few years back. He is at the bottom of the list of candidates right now, but who knows

I remember being impressed and even excited... in 2003. Unfortunately he flamed out, and at least from our perspective, sold out.

I wonder if Trump will make a stink over Jindal's birth certificate. It would be nice if he could show some consistency in his racist rhetoric.
I think it's interesting to see some diversity in major party candidates. And refreshing, especially from the Republicans. What are the odds of the GOP nominating someone other than a wealthy white guy?
Trump, with his money and his bumper sticker quotes can do damage to the Republicans. The amount of damage will be determined by whether or not he is a flash in the pan (the GOP had several of them in 2012) or he finds traction.

Jindal has plenty of time on his side. All he needs to do on this run is not eff anything up, not say anything stupid, and build a lot of political goodwill and it will serve him well in later runs, maybe 8 years down the road. The trick is come out of this cavalcade looking smart and likable. The opening salvo is a little weird and twee, but if he keeps his head down and lets everyone else say all the ridiculous *****, he's in good stead. Stick to policy, stay away from getting cornered on social wedge issues and he's golden.
