Addendum to Twitter thread

So every news/information source you look at is either fully connected with reality, or fully disconnected with reality? 1 or 0? There’s no gradation or spectrum? I find that odd, but okay, whatever floats your boat.

Moving on to the broader premise, of why I find 538 more connected to reality than MOL. Overall I think that would be fairly obvious and non-surprising, as MOL is liberal and I'm not a liberal, whereas 538 is more center, which is more my cup of tea.

Here are some examples of previous discussions that have led me to question the connection to reality on here. To pre-empt your next argument, no that doesn't mean everyone on here is disconnected from reality, it means I find there's less connection to reality on here than there is on 538.

MOL consensus has been:

1. The left has not moved left in recent years

2. Biden's approval rating is not meaningful

3. CNN and the NYT are biased against Democrats

4. Biden is fine and not at all senile

And there's rarely any gray area. Rather, when I have made statements to the contrary of any of the above 4 points, hell fire rains down from all directions as to how utterly preposterous my contention is; my opinions are factually incorrect and that is easily provable beyond a shadow of a doubt; and I must have 3 heads and be from another planet.

This is why I sometimes question the connection to reality on here.

I'm not here to re-litigate any of the above points, but you asked, I answered.

Speaking of being detached from reality.....

“My Favorite Strawmen”

Again, why are we talking about 538?

I'm shocked

Raise your hand if you thought Musk was just trolling everyone from the start.

So now he’s again talking about sacking staff - and someone is suing him for Dogecoin pyramid scheme… if you wrote this as a soap opera, no-one would watch cheese

I guess we have our answer.

Could it be that Musk set out to destroy Twitter? I got this feeling that he’s a trumper, from the way he’s always targeting Biden. Something fishy is going on.

“When Elon Musk came to the White House asking me for help on all of his many subsidized projects, whether it’s electric cars that don’t drive long enough, driverless cars that crash, or rocketships to nowhere, without which subsidies he’d be worthless,” Trump wrote, “and telling me how he was a big Trump fan and Republican, I could have said, ‘drop to your knees and beg,’ and he would have done it.”
