Spotify cutting out through my car

Hi,

So this is not really in the right category, but I didn't know where to post so here goes.

In the past few weeks I've been having a problem streaming Spotify through my car.  I have a Jeep, and connect through my phone bluetooth connection.  I thought maybe it was my phone or the app, but that doesn't make sense (or does it?).  Here is what happens - I set up my phone to play Spotify, and it begins playing what I have chosen and stops after a very short time, sometimes less than a minute.  I thought it might have something to do with keeping the screen/phone open, so I changed the setting to close after ten minutes.  This didn't work.  To restart Spotify, I have to open my phone, open the app and make sure that both the car screen and my phone are in play mode.  This is a royal PIA when you are driving, sort of defeats the whole purpose of 'hands free'.  Most days I just switch back to my radio and call it a day.  Problem is, I'm starting to find how tight the playlists are on Sirius/XM.  I like Spotify because you can actually choose what you want to play and can listen to Podcasts as well.  That's another thing, it doesn't matter if it's music or a Podcast, it just stops.  Grrrrrrr.  (I know, such a minor problem in this time of local strife)

google says it might be related to having your power setting set to power saver mode. So, check that.

FWIW I find Spotifys app in general to be glitchy and slow.   I love the content but not the app.  Also agree that satellite radio is weak and narrow.

Thanks guys, appreciate the feedback.  I will check that power saver thing on my phone now.

It pisses me off that there are so many 'settings' now to interfere with my enjoyment of music.  Sometimes I miss having to have a case of cassette tapes to put in my car to program my ride.  I never had one of those fancy CD disk changers in my trunk with the subwoofer.  Gone are the days....
