SO Rescue Squad Needs Some Endorsements

Just received this facebook message from Dan Cohen of the SO Rescue Squad:

"I was contacted by State Farm last week because they would like to showcase the Rescue Squad on their website www.GoodNeighbors.com site by featuring all the support we have received from the community. They are interested in speaking with some people from the community who we have helped and I was wondering if you'd be ok with giving them a quote about us.Thanks again,Dan Cohen Captain South Orange Rescue Squad(917) 328-7080"

I asked him what would be involved and received this reply:

"I think it might not be until the fall, but the State Farm folks had asked me to provide them with the contact info of a few folks who would be willing to talk to them. I think they would just speak with you for a few minutes to get some quotes for the article. If you can give me a phone number and email, I'll pass it along to them."

I replied that I would be only too happy to help and asked if it would be OK to spread the word and see if anyone else would like to participate in this effort. He gave his permission for me to spread the word. Thus this thread.

In summary, if anyone reading this would be willing to participate, please supply Mr. Cohen with your contact information. This would be a meaningful follow-up to the support we all provided during the voting for the State Farm grant.

Thank you Joan.

After we won the $25,000 grant I got this email from State Farm:

"We also hope to showcase your great accomplishments through our www.GoodNeighbors.com site by featuring all the support you have received from the community. As we discussed briefly, I would like to highlight some of the thank you notes you received from recipients of your services and we will use what we already have to include in the story with input from you about the CPR classes, etc. We are hoping to run this story on the site in the fall."

We get a lot of "thank you" letters but I have been hesitant to contact former patients directly because I don't want to put anyone in a position where they feel that they can't say no. So... if anyone has received our services and would like to give a quote to be used in an article on the Good Neighbors website-- please let us know.

You can send us an email at sorescue@verizon.net

Thanks!

Dan
