Bumping this up - my son LOVED having it this week and is sad to turn it back in. What an awesome idea!

Tar Heels. There are plenty more kits to chose from .
Oh, I know!! We will be getting more for sure. He was really excited about the Snap Circuits, which I didn't even know existed but we tried them out at Family Tech Night and he was hooked.
So cool!! Are these available to those of us in Maplewood if we have that rebel sticker thing
afa - call the SOPL and ask the reference librarian: 973-762-0230. I hope so!
We went to Family Tech Night at the SO library, and we just learned about the existence of SEAT kits- Science, Exploration, Arts and Technology. Or, as we dubbed it, a suitcase full o' science.
These kits are available to check out for a week at a time, and have a ton of cool stuff in them relating to a theme. We got the "Sun, Air, Water, Life" kit tonight. It includes a microscope (!!!), a Snap Circuits set, a solar balloon, a few books and movies,CDs including the Beach Boys (love that) and a bunch of other things we haven't explored yet.
Apparently these were created from the 2013 fund drive by the Friends of SOPL. Well done- they are so awesome!!
