hi. I need to have several roof shingles replaced. The quote is 450. Does that seem reasonable?  Thanks

Seems high unless "several" translates to 100+ or so...typical asphalt shingles are about $1 / sq. ft.

It also depends on where they are.  If they are spread out around the roof it can be quite a bit of time, despite cheap materials.

This may be the quoter's way of telling you that he's not interested in the work.

It may be a little high.  Was the quote from a bigger contractor who has a lot of overhead to factor in?  If so, try a handyman but make sure he is fully insured.
