re: recent Matters Magazine article on me + offering composing for media/jazz/piano lessons out of my Maplewood studio

Hi all! Wanted to point people to the online version of an article on me that just appeared in Matters Magazine you may have seen: https://www.mattersmagazine.com/post/jazz-meets-pizza and also let you all know that if you live in the SOMA (Maplewood/South Orange, NJ and surrounding) areas, I am available to teach private lessons out of my Maplewood, NJ production studio to ages 13 and up. Areas of potential study include composing for media (including working with programs like Logic Pro, Dorico (notation), sample libraries, arranging/composition); songwriting; plus piano (including jazz piano), with flexible hours. Skype-based lessons may also be available. For more info, email me at: dd@ddjackson.com or visit my webpage at: http://ddjackson.com. My background: In addition to being a multi-Emmy-winning composer, I also am an Adjunct Associate Professor at Brooklyn College where I teach courses in their Global Jazz Masters program, direct the Brooklyn College Global Jazz Masters Big Band, and also teach Media Scoring at Brooklyn College’s Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema [end of blurb! grin]

I'll look you up in 4 years. My 9 year old son and 5 year old daughter started playing a couple of months ago. Hopefully they stick with it!

Anybody inspired by Charles Mingus is okay with me.
