Friday morning Feb 18th

A Wind Advisory remains in effect until 10am. Winds are gradually diminishing, and will continue to abate slowly through the day. Breezy and colder this afternoon.

There is a chance tomorrow afternoon, Saturday, for a brief but intense snow squall or two as another polar front moves through. Winds 15 - 20 with gusts in the 40s are possible, and snow might be heavy for a short period during a squall.

We were previously promised a sunny day on Saturday. We have a big family wedding and there will be no snow.

The wind woke me up in the middle of the night when it hit. It was really strong.

That line of storms that came through around 5:30 was impressive. It woke me up and kept me on alert the whole time. I peeked at the radar on my phone's weather app and yikes. What a sharp boundary causing those storms.

The icy pieces hitting the gutters was a thrilling accompaniment to the howls of the wind.
