Could this have anything to do with the fact that the 10:02 train still hasn't left the station?

Any update on the outage
I'm sure that some of them have phones.
The library was open [and lit] when I passed by a few minutes ago. There was power in the Post Office when I went there about 30 minutes ago to mail a letter. Other businesses seemed open as well. Either this part of town was not impacted by the power outage or power has been restored.
I believe it was a few hours ago so they have likely fixed it by now. Most of Valley St was out around 10am when I drove down it.
On a side note, I was dismayed at the number of drivers who did not know what to do at a traffic light with no power. Everyone on Valley St was just happily driving through the dead lights with no regard to the cross traffic. Please remember that if a traffic light loses power then it becomes a four way (or all way) stop, regardless of whether or not the town has had time to set up temporary stop signs. Obviously, if a police officer is at the intersection directing traffic then he/she is able to supersede any any traffic signal and you should obey their commands instead.
