Partial repainting slash touching up

I don't think a partial touchup of some timbers is a good idea. The newly done ones will make the undone ones look shabby even if right now they don't look bad. Better to get all done one spring (too cold now anyway for exterior painting I would think).
I think it would be really smart to get all the timbers/trim painted. Then it will look uniform and be better protected.

quick question, will house painters touch up or do partial work? Our Tudor has some timbers showing their age with peeling paint. Or is it worth it to let it get worse and just paint everything? First timer. Please advise.
