Parker/Prospect traffic light

I've been noticing that the wait to cross Prospect when on Parker is taking much longer.  I thought these lights had sensors to detect traffic - it doesn't seem the case anymore.

Check with the town engineer to learn if timing on the light has been changed.

I've noticed it too.  It used to be very precise and the light would change when no cars are on Prospect.  The other day, approaching Prospect, I had to back up and go forward to trigger the light changing.

It’s definitey changed.  Tried to get an explanation/reversal via the app.  No response.  The wait there is interminable sometimes.

Would strongly suggest phoning or visiting town hall rather than using request for service app.  You want an explanation not just to report a problem resulting from the change.  This IMO requires a discussion.

Is this not the intersection at which 4 CHS seniors lost their lives some decades ago?

I gave the engineering dept a heads up on the light - they didn't have any info on it readily available.

There has been a lot of road work along Parker - I think some must have been down around that intersection.

It seemed better today.
