Overnight Parking

Does anyone know of Maplewood PD gives out permits for long-term street parking? I have an incredibly small driveway (space for one car) and a one car garage and our eldest is moving back home for a while and bringing his own car. Since he needs it to get to work, selling it isn't really an option.

I've never heard of that being a possibility. You could try talking to neighbors that have extra space in their driveway and negotiate an arrangement.

The town does give out overnight parking permits in some circumstances. The persons I know who have one live on properties that have neither a garage nor a driveway. Even then, the permit is given for only one vehicle per household and is not valid on days when snow has to be cleared. There may also be other conditions when emergency conditions preclude even permit holders parking on the street. Another possibility if you live in easy walking distance of a commercial district would be to see if you can rent space in a commercial or municipal parking lot. Renting a space in neighbor's driveway may still be your best option.
