Nueske's - Should I order?

I'm thinking of ordering from Neuske's. They have very tasty meat products.

But they're located in a virus hot spot, very hot. 10x the rate of what we have. There its mostly Trump country where they're not hot on social distancing or mask wearing.

Considering they'll be handling the product, is it safe? One advantage is it takes two day to ship. Most virus is gone after three days when outside of the body near room temperature. OTOH, virus survives much longer at lowered temperatures. Their products are shipped at near freezing.

Any thoughts on should I buy or not?

If it’s Nueske’s or nothing, I don’t have any thoughts. If it’s just a matter of very tasty meat products, alternatives include Union Pork Store on Morris Avenue, a personal favorite, and N&K Prime Marketplace on Springfield Avenue, which friends and MOL regulars have raved about.

Thanks, Dave. I didn't think of N&K. I'll check them out.

I'll keep my mind open on Nueske's. I'm also leaning towards them since I really don't want to live like some hermit for another six months. That's not living.

If you are cooking the meat, disposing of packaging, and washing your hands, what is the concern?

FWIW:  I've found I kind of like the hermit life...

 I'm definitely a fan.

ETA: I would defo go to N&K Prime or Union Pork Store. But for proper farm to table bulk buying I usually go to River Bend Farm in Peapack. They don't deliver, so it's a bit of a drive, but the quality is amazing, and you can order everything in advance and have them put it in your trunk when you arrive.

River Bend looks good. I like driving. I'll go and check them out if its nice this Fridays. Can you specify the thickness of steaks when there or are they all pre-cut?

North Country Smoke House has some great products, if you want to drive to New Hampshire.

Never ordered steak so I can’t attest. I’ve ordered the pork sampler, a half pig, and I’ve done a couple of walk-ins to their farm store. Everything was pre-cut, packaged and frozen. But when I ordered the half pig, you had a lot of choice in how you wanted it.
