NJ Transit contract/strike status?

Did this get settled or are they still threatening a strike or lockout tomorrow?  I haven't heard anything in a couple of weeks, so wondering if I missed a news item about it.

(I have out of town company this weekend who would like to go into the city, so trying to make plans one way or the other.)

Settled, more or less.

We will have trains.

Then why does NJ Transit have a critical service advisory posted on its website?

I could not find a date for the advisory.  there was another settlement announced on monday-but I dont know when the member vote is/was scheduled.

I also heard that this had been settled awhile ago. Only possibility I could think of would be that rank and file have yet to ratify the contract agreement.  Still, if this were the case, we should have heard more by now in the media and from the town.

I also heard that this had been settled awhile ago but it could be the unions membership has yet to ratify the agreement. If this is the case it wouldn't hurt to have an alternative plan in place just in case.

There were two unions that did not ratify the contract. One of them was the engineers. I understand that they have reached an agreement in principle which will allay the strike, at least for now.

As the nj.com article details, with the tentative agreement, there is a new Federal cooling off period during which the union members vote and thete are to be no job actions.
