New Voting Location

For years I have voted at the firehouse on Durand (District 17). I happened to notice on the paper ballot that came in today's mail, that I am now supposed to vote at The Woodland. So you may want to check to see if you are voting at the same place. Maybe it is only our location that was changed, but I am sure glad that it caught my eye!

There is a big flashing sign at the Fire House advising of the change for Districts 2 and 17.

hazel, we got a small postcard in the mail notifying us of the voting location change from the fire house. The new location is a little farther from our house, but still walkable. I imagine it's much less disruptive to the fire house not to have voting in there, but between this new change and the passing of Charlie Bibbins - a fixture at my voting table all the years I've lived in Maplewood - going to vote just won't be the same.

Hmmm...I missed getting any other mailings, and I drive by the fire house every day...LOL! How I missed that, I can't say. Well, good to know folks are all over the change. I can remember when we voted at Jefferson School, then it switched to the fire house. The new setting is lovely, but it was pretty cool to take the kids with me to the fire house when they were little.
