New Netflix series - Marvel's "Daredevil"

Been looking forward to this, one of the few Marvel properties I read. I knew Deborah Ann Woll was playing Karen Page, but nice casting choice in Scott Glenn as Stick.

It's out. Watched the first episode and OH MY GOODNESS. Action, really fantastic leads, a sly sense of humor. The first ten minutes will have you hooked. Recommended!
Oh and it's *much* darker and intense than the usual Marvel fare - definitely not one for the kiddies.

We both shook our heads in sad disbelief...persevered through the entire season and won't really bother with the next... Just kept hoping that somehow something would get better. For me, just way too overdone, all violence and big effects for the heck of it. For him, it was 'nothing special without the effects'.
I found some chatter about it, too, that commented on the funny accents in other languages - reading those forums was more entertaining than the actual episodes. Sigh.
