need pharmacy

please recommend a nearby pharmacy (sorry for typo in title but it's not editable) NOT on Springfield Ave.

I'm willing to travel to Millburn if necessary. No Union.

Thanks

Come to SO pharmacy. Used them for years and I've never had any problems and they also have free delivery

We use the Target pharmacy, but that's Union. (What's wrong with Union?) There's Walgreen's on Springfield Avenue in Maplewood, as well as whatever replaced Topf's at the corner of SA and Prospect.

There is a Walgreens in the Millburn Mall and a CVS (where many have had less than optimal experiences) on Millburn Ave.

How about the Pathmark pharmacy on Valley? That is what we have used forever.

Carolina Pharmacy - Millburn Ave -Maplewood -

I have used and been happy with PathMark pharmacy on Valley. They also have free delivery

Carolina Phamacy is great, I switched to them when one of the other larger pharmacies listed above, made a huge mistake on one of my prescriptions. it is a small place and will eventually know you by name when you walk in

+1 for both the Millburn Mall Walgreens and the Carolina Pharmacy. (Walgreens is also connected with many drug plans, if that matters. Don't know about Carolina.)

LOVE South Orange Pharmacy. I've had really wonderful service there

The CVS on Morris Avenue in Union (the Red Cadillac restaurant is nearly across the street) is open 24 hours, which may be useful to keep in mind.

another for Carolina, though I use Target or the Wallgreens in a pinch (open later).

Note - The Millburn Mall is in Union (although I really don't know what the problem would be with going to Union or Springfield Ave, for that matter.)

It also has a Minute Clinic, which was incredibly useful when my daughter had an earache early one Saturday morning. Very short wait, very lovely nurse practitioner, great experience.

Actually, Millburn Mall is in Vauxhall not Union.

Vauxhall is a section of Union.

SO Pharmacy. Also, free delivery.

Why not on SA? I switched to the Wallgreens on SA when the pharmacy I had been using (also on SA) closed. I have found the service there to be excellent. They take my drug plan, work well with my primary care physician's office and my health insurance company, notify me when prescriptions are ready for pick-up, readily answer questions I may have regarding medications, and have multiple locations thus reducing problems that might occur if I need medication while I am traveling out of the area. An added plus is that I can walk there from my home.

ETA: Missing "t" in "the."

There IS a CVS not far into Millburn on Millburn Avenue at Wyoming Avenue. But many of us disliked it intensely and were thrilled when the Vauxhall Target opened up with a pharmacy. I guess you could go there if avoiding Union and SA is the most important factor.

South Orange Pharmacy -- par excellence! Wonderful customer service. Pharmacists so helpful and willing to go to bat with the insurance companies as well as the pharma companies to get all the max benefits and co pays offered.

When we lived in Maplewood, our favorite pharmacy was the Walgreens on Irvington Ave and Manor Dr. It's open 24 hours, and the service is very good.

Yeah, but that one is in Newark. If the OP won't go to Union or SA, then what are the chances they will go to Newark?

Whoa, folks. We keep assuming the OP has demographic issues with SA and Union. The OP may have geographic limitations, such as needs to be within walking distance of a home near the South Orange border. Let's not go all internet-shaming on the OP until we know for sure the OP deserves it.

Good point, Max. OP has never clarified that, but if it is a distance issue, I don't know why they wouldn't just say so. (And they DID say they would go to Millburn.)

Another vote for Carolina. They will also deliver.

I guess I'm one of the few who likes CVS at Wyoming and Millburn Ave.

Isn't it Millburn and Wyoming?

I use CVS in Milburn and have never had an issue other than their poor customer service.

There have been reports of the incorrect medication being dispensed at that pharmacy. However, I don't know how current the problem is since these reports are not recent.

I knew my Lipitor tasted funny last month!
