Need adolescent therapist for anxiety

My 12yo is experiencing severe anxiety and I really need to get her some help. I've had some referrals, but it seems that many mental health services do not take insurance and charge hundreds of dollars for each appointment. I really need someone who takes insurance. Does anyone have someone they like? I'd prefer to avoid a medication solution unless it's absolutely necessary, and I'm pretty sure she'll only want to talk to a woman.

Who is on your insurance? If you post a list of the female psychologists (and MSW's) we can give you feedback. Also, do you have any out of network coverage?

Out of network is also paid--we just have to submit claims. Meryl Pfeiffer looks pretty good. I may contact her. Thanks!

Cheryl Futterman has been recommended here in the past. I know her in person (not from her work) from our overlapping years of having kids at school and she's a wonderful person.

Used her for my Slightly Taller One and I think I've recommended her to at least a dozen people. All of our kids benefited. My kid adored her. His friends who went did too. I really can't say enough good things about her!

Bumping this. Breslin not accepting new patients. Any other recommendations near here, or near a close by train station on local trax, besides Futterman (no reply to my email)?
