I urge people to take responsibility for their dogs and cats and get them spayed/neutered. Do not simply feed cats and then take no responsible actions for their care. This is not a humane way to treat outdoor cats.
Couldn't have said it better myself ~ Feral cats need to be spayed/neutered and vaccinated for their own health and to keep the population down. If you know of someone who does feed feral cats, please urge them to contact Furry Hearts Rescue for help. Their phone number is (973) 763-6842 or email: info@furryheartsrescue.org . If you have questions, you can always pm me or ask them here.
From Bob Roe: Bump on spay/neuter by appointment in the morning and well care in the afternoon. Yes. May 26. We now have a calendar of when the AHS will be coming for the rest of 2015. Contact the Health Dept.
8:30 am. The AHS spay/neuter van is here. Well care such as rabies and distemper shots to be given this afternoon. Very Important: The AHS will be giving the older version of the canine flu vaccine. This is required by many kennels and other pet care places. The new canine flu does not yet have a vaccine available.

The Associated Humane Society will once again return to the Maplewood Town Hall on Tuesday May at 8:30 am and will do low cost dog and cat spay/neutering. Call 973-824-7080 x118 or x121 for an appointment. In the afternoon rabies, distemper, microchipping and other well care will be done on a first come first serve basis. Outdoor cats especially need to be spayed/neutered and get rabies shots.
