Jamie,
Your post says there will be 2 shred it days. When will the next one be? Also, if not too big a hassle, could you post with more than 2 days notice. Do they really check for residency?
THANKS
It's not until October 10th:

I added it to the MOL calendar.
The big kahuna is Bulk Drop-Off Day.
Saturday, June 6th
Saturday, September 12th

It is "always" in April and October or at least has been every year I recall. Although they aren't always really quick about it, the town does put it on their website, and I had it on my calendar for at least a month before this past weekend. And the October 10th date is there also.
It isn't really Jamie's job to do the notification, just a courtesy on his part.
They have never checked for residency anytime I have gone but they obviously reserve the right to do so. I believe that South Orange also has a similar service, but I don't know the details.

Shred-It Day is an opportunity for Maplewood residents to shred any personal paper items such as legal documents, private records and files, books, etc. There will be two Shred-It Days at the Maplewood Recycling Center, located at 359 Boyden Avenue as follows:
Saturday April 4, 2026
Our Hours will be 8am-12pm or when trucks fill up.
In order to better accommodate our residents, we will provide two shredding trucks at each event.
This service is strictly for Maplewood residents only. Please be prepared to show a government issued photo ID and proof of residency.
