Maplewood in "The Plot Against America"

Here's a few shots from the Ridgewood stores in this HBO series.

Is that by Ridgewood and Cedar? (probably should be obvious, but indulge me, i'm an expat from SOMA)

Oh wow, I saw that scene and didn't realize where it was! Thanks @jamie!

Yup.

So cool.  They filmed on our street but we didn't know what show it was for.

I wish they kept that set there permanently, along with the large beer steins.

great looking building in the background in pic#1!

The synagogue scenes were filmed at the top of my street here in Jersey City.

The synagogue is Temple Beth El on Kennedy Boulevard.

My kids were Bar Mitzvah there. When the filming took place last year, we all got a kick out of the fantastic 1940s car that were parked on the boulevard.

  oh oh

Nothing personal against oots (I really like oots and it's a wonderful house) but the scene was chilling.

(btw - My FIL's first cousin was Philip Roth's best friend at Weequahik High.)

That home is very old. You see how close it is to the street. When it was built Ridgewood Road was not paved and travelers would stay there overnight. More recently additions were made.

We have watched the first two episodes and are enjoying the show very much.  I knew there was filming on Ridgewood a while back and when I saw this, I said, "hey, that's Maplewood!"
