Maplewood 4th of July Softball - help needed

Every year, as a part of the 4th of July festivities in Maplewood, there is a softball "tournament" from noon - 3pm.  It's three consecutive pick up games - noon, 1pm, 2pm.  They are "for fun, noncompetitive, for adults only."

I "run" these games, which means I bring a clipboard and have people sign up for each game.  I also ump, which means I tell people to swing the bat or risk me calling them out on strikes.

I can't be there this year.  Can someone help me out?  If one of you has participated in the past, and I know you're out there, that would be the best solution.  Otherwise, I will have to spend minutes mentoring my replacement.

Soul, you are exactly the kind of guy who could take this job to a new level.  Sorta like when you were the announcer for the Maplewood 5K.  I think that was the name of it.

Remind me what happened after it was over.  I forget.  Something about an irate runner?  Perhaps even a thread on MOL?
