If you go to the Don Tre driving school web site, it has great practice tests. You do need to supply name and email, but I don't think anything came of providing that info.
Um, I do. Also 25' from a crosswalk (pet peeve because when people don't follow this one it forces pedestrians to come out from behind a parked car which is dangerous because of visibility to drivers). I think the only question on the test that I thought was stupid was the one about which months you are legally allowed to use studded snow tires, if they even still have that on the test that is.JDBitterman said:
Who parks 50 feet from a stop sign?

Don't feel bad. Most licensed NJ drivers would fail if they had to take the written test or even the road test again. Who parks 50 feet from a stop sign? Or considers a speed limit anything more than a non-binding suggestion? ;-)

If you cannot pass the DMV's driving test, what makes you think that you should be allowed to drive? There is already enough out there who should not be allowed to drive to begin with. Written test is not about the ability to drive but you must know the "rule of the road". You obey those or not is up to you of course but please at least make an effort to know it enough to pass your test. Good luck.

Passed it on my 3rd try. You basically need to memorize the book. Best of Luck!

Sounds like you get yourself so scared that you freeze when you are faced with the actual test. Maybe some exercises to relax ahead of time, deep breathing, or a very light sedative would help? Just for heaven's sake don't go in with beer or something more interesting on your breath!
If you don't have a friend around to help quiz you, you can always make up flash cards to test yourself, with the question on one side and answers on the other. Prepare, and find ways to help yourself relax and work around the test anxiety, and you will be fine. It sounds like you really do know the stuff by now, it's just a matter of making sure you can access that information while taking the test.
Hang in there. You'll be fine.
That doesn't sound right.nan said:
My son took the test in Wayne, where it is on a computer and you just have to answer a certain number of questions correctly--and you pick the questions. He was so relived since the first time he took it with paper and pencil and failed by one question.
