We'll see. But from $189/qtr (new/recent bill) to $90/qtr 2x/week, plus one (1) bulk pickup (up to 4 items <50#) per month included, felt like a no brainer. And WI will pick up from back/side of home too. It doesn't feel like it was that long ago that WM was $90/qtr. Oh well.
When I called to cancel (a requirement to cancel) they offered 2 mos free FYI.
I changed to WI recently, after my quarterly bill more than tripled with no explanation as to what triggered the change. That plus the surcharge for paper billing and charging for bulk pick-up made this decision a no brainer.
I also signed up with WI. Their service is spotty at my residence. I get 2 weekly pick ups 3 out of 4 weeks per month. Sometimes they will only take one can. The most recent phone call was for no trash pick up after 4th of July holiday (last collection was 6/30). Had a nice gathering on Saturday and trash was still in my yard this morning as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for smh.

I'm not sure we are getting what we pay for in any of this. We have had WI since they first started offering the service in Maplewood and have been pretty satisfied. We now have one can/one day per week since we are empty nesters. Recently they switched the once per week people to Wednesday. (Perhaps to spread their work out, but I'm not sure.)

My household doesn't generate much trash and it's more the principal of what I pay for. I excuse the missed pick ups as a result of less than normal trash, as well as they may forget to look in my second can since its normally just one. However, with event we had this Saturday (I'm quite sure alot of people did the 4th on Sat or Sun this year) event trash sweltering in 90 degree weather for 5 days is very unsettling considering the track record.
