I forgot it was happening until it started so I watched from my deck. Fantastic show!
Between the heat and various distractions, we missed it. But we definitely heard it and the finale sounded awesome. Photos posted later looked great.
All the windows locked and AC going, thought I heard something like fireworks, but figured it was Irvington.

I too, was in the house.... windows down and ac going. I didn't hear nothing,
I want my money back.
I did not know of it in advance, and so missed the display. Whoever is in charge of publicity does not know that I exist. Wonder if the 4th of July display is still going to happen.

I received several emails from different sources regarding the Juneteenth celebration and heard it discussed at TC meetings. Two Juneteenth events (town and Durand Hedden) were listed on the MOL calendar. I have also received several emails regarding 4th of July, even handed out 4th of July flyers at the Health and Wellness Fair. Information on both events was readily available. Maplewood Recreation and Maplewood Cultural Affairs are good email mailing lists to get on if you want up to date information on events in town. Jamie's emailer is another good source. All three seem to come out weekly. To answer your question, there will be fireworks in Memorial Park on July 4th. Some events are being held during the day in Memorial Park and DeHart Park.
Thanks Joan. When it comes to information, you are really plugged in.
Promote your business here - Businesses get highlighted throughout the site and you can add a deal.
Small turnout - fireworks in probably half an hour.
Come on down!
