ISO an old school TV, the big heavy type.

My bff's mother is in assisted living and for whatever technological reason, she needs a television that isn't at all smart. Does anybody have one in the basement that they've been meaning to get rid of? Thank you!

The Morrow Church Turnover Sale is in full swing - stop by and talk to Norman in the Electronics Department.

Omg, why didn't I think of that? And I attend Morrow Church! Thank you, I will go tomorrow.

If you have no luck message me.

Unique thrift still sells them..its hit or miss...but can usually get a 20 inch for a couple bucks....I found one that has on screen controls to adjust the settings (without a remote).  the one I had before had a dark picture, the new one I was able to adjust the brightness.  You can also check ebay (local listings so you can pick it up).

at Unique you have to bring it to a plug and make sure it powers on...they often have DVD players you can try to hook up to check the picture if you want.

Hi. We have  this portable with a built-in VCR that you're welcome to. I'm guessing the screen size is 14" or15" in diagonal.

Thank you all for the good suggestions.

AlanG, I'll check with my friend to see if it's big enough. She may need a larger screen for her mother to be able to see it properly. Thank you.

I have one that you are welcome to.

For what it's worth, Morrow is trying not to accept tube TVs. We just can't sell them.

But one or two might have snuck past the gatekeepers.

thank you for the offer! Can you tell me what size it is and if it has a remote?

If @Gammadyno's offer doesn't work out, send me a PM. I have one that I'd be happy to give you.

i've got (i think) a 36" tv in attic for the taking. shoot me a message at elvisronhubbard@yahoo.com if you want it. free.

I have a 40 inch Sony Bravia XBR LCD.  Beautiful TV.  It's not a smart TV and I'd have to look to see if I have a remote - I was using the FIOS remote for it but I recently replaced my TVs and this one is really nice.  You are welcome to it if you'd like.

Update from my friend: her mother insists that she's fine with whatever the facility is supplying. Thank you all for being so generous and for any trouble you went to for me. My friend is very envious of my community here in Maplewood/South Orange, as she should be ☺️
