Is Saturday June 6 Bulk Garbage Day?

My overflowing garage would like to know.

Thanks!

If you use Waste Management there is bulk pickup the last Wednesday of every month if you call and schedule it

Yes, it is. 8 am-2 pm at the recycling center on Boyden. Here's the town website link:

http://www.twp.maplewood.nj.us/index.aspx?NID=598

And the last Saturday of the month is the bulk pick-up day for Waste Industries. You also have to call to have your name put on their list.

This is the day to dispose of as much crap as you want!!!! But, you need to bring it to the DPW yourself. Rules apply. Read link above.

Thanks everybody. I had marked it on my calendar awhile back and just wanted to be sure before I loaded up the van tomorrow morning.

Sheesh I did not receive an email... why is this a f*****g secret!!!!!!!!!!!! Bring back the newsletter and mail it to me.....please????

I hate to break it to you but I believe the newsletter was emailed but it was a while ago. Not sure they're doing paper mailing anymore.

Based on the link there is also a September 19, 2015 date for bulk drop off. Can someone confirm that this date is still in effect as well? TIA

Maplegal: The Leaflet e-mail is still sent out about 4 times a year; but, you have to sign up to receive it. If you don't use a computer, you can request to have a hard copy mailed to you. There is a link to the current Leaflet on the Maplewood Library website (in the About Maplewood section) and the library has a hard copy in the reference section which can be looked at in the library.

Do they take air conditioners?

Yes, they take air conditioners. But they take them as metal any day as well (it's just not mentioned)

For some reason however they don't mention it in bulk but I know I've dropped them off on a normal recycling day and they took them them.

"1) This program is intended for the disposal of household bulk refuse including refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, and furniture, in accordance with the above schedule."

Well, I missed this date. I'd like to know about the September date as well, so I can put it on my calendar. We have a garage full of crap.

Never mind. Just looked at the flyer.

You have until 2...

So did I. Do you think the September 19 date in the recent flyer is true too? I think so but wasn't sure. I'm going to ask when I get there today.

Thanks all, I would have missed it otherwise, and I'm sure glad to be rid of one giant, old, inefficient air conditioner.

I never got this e-mail either, and I am signed up for everything under the sun. I am flooded with e-mails about stuff I could care less about, but not for the things important to me. Oh well, thank goodness for end of the month bulk pickup -- I don't have to load up my car with junk.

thanks billw for starting this thread! Saw this late last night, and after some errands today, just dropped off a nice pile o' stuff! There's still more, somehow, but feels good to get a lot of it out.

I did confirm that the September date linked above is a correct date. So next bulk drop off is September 19 and as pointed out there is always your private hauler for putting out up to 4 items a month. Also, you can always arrange for the town to get or you to bring to them white metals like air conditioners and dehumidifiers, I'm pretty sure, regardless of date.
